Pattern/Images/Tutorial: Made In K-Town

Material:

For my square I used small amounts of Rico Essentials Cotton DK and a 3.5mm hook. My square measures 11.5 cm (4.5″) but the size will vary depending on the yarn and hook you use.

Add general notes:

For this pattern the author used US crochet terms. We’ll need the following stitches: chain stitch (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble (tr), and spike single crochet ( or “long” sc). The spike is explained below, please use the pictures as a help, too.

The Author did NOT write down the chains at the beginning of each round: for the first stitch in every round, work chains (eg 3 chains for the first dc) OR start with a “standing stitch” ie join the new color with a slip knot or a simple loop ON YOUR HOOK and just work the first sc or dc as usual. Join rounds with a sl st.
