Pattern/Images/Tutorial: My Crochet
This pattern is based on an 18 motif repeating layout using 6 colors and in a combination of Standard Granny Squares and Solid Granny Squares.
Each square has 6 rounds in the pattern. Each color has a 3 motif set. You’ll notice that this configuration gives you diagonals of single color Solid Granny Squares, diagonals of 3 color Standard Granny Squares, and diagonals of 6 color Standard Granny Squares so it’s
not as random as it might first appear.
For this project, I used 144 squares in a 12 x 12 configuration.
Each square is approximately 15cm. The finished item measures
approximately 190cm x 190cm.
You could make it any size you want and choose your own color
combination. I am using UK/Australian Terminology.
Yarn Weight is DK / 8 ply. I used Patons Classic Totem 8 ply (DK),
91m/50g but Bergere de France Ideal is a good wool blend substitute 4.00 mm Crochet Hook
Tension: 18 tr over 10 rows = 10 cm / 4″
