At the 1/4 seams, sew a 3/3-color 3 with a half-square to a half-half of 2/3 of color 3, then sew a 2/3-color 3 square with a 1/3 color. The unit shown on the left, make four units like this …
Now make the center of the block by joining the four half-square Color1 / Color2 as shown to the left …
Then order the block, joining the units previously made! Be sure to switch by pressing the directions with the addition of each unit so that your seams are all staggered and remain fresh and flat!

The quilt, is four blocks by five, with a thin color border 1, then a border of flying geese and a lead color 1. What a fair gift for the seasons change and the eternal circle of life!

Here in Maine, the geese are going south at that time, so that seemed a very appropriate frontier!
